This is one of the founders of the fluxus movement, a movement I feel a lot of affiliation towards. I know that a lot of my work is rooted in this kind of work.

As a dancer i feel attached to a specific dancer/choreographer Martha Graham, one huge reason because she was one of the original founders of Modern Dance, which happens to be my favorite style. but she has built her own style of dancing, her own technique, Graham Technique.
ReplyDeleteHer style is full of emotion and very dramatic, her ballets were based upon currents issues in the world. One of her most famous ballets, Lamentation, which is based upon the great depression, the dance literally moves you. So i feel Martha Graham has influenced me greatly, and because of her, i want to give her my talent by joining her company in New York, hopefully!

When it comes to music I'm influenced by literally every genre of music. However, my art work is has a heavy influence by Shepard Fairey and Banksy. I think I can safely say that I would go promote their art in the streets. though I'm not political, I love that they both express what/how they feel on their governments through their street art. its a really great freedom of speech... even though it is frowned upon. I guess what I have obtained from their work is that I love to express my self through art, just as they do.
