Bush Vs Obama
Can someone please explain to me why, before the 2008 election when Bush was in office, if someone was to talk bad about the president the response from the public around would be that is the leader of the country you may not like him but do not talk negatively about him. Now that Obama is in office people have been doing everything they can to slander him, his name, and his image. People in the media are now trying to say that Obama is not an American citizen. It is outrageous that American republicans are going that far, saying that the president that was elected by a land slide might not be legit. How are other countries suppose to take our president serious if the American public doubts him. I feel that other countries have more respect for Obama then American citizens them selves. My question is, Why, Now do people want to talk shit about a president because they are pissed their leader did not get elected. These people who are talking badly about the president are republicans who voted in Bush and wanted to elect McCain, but they had eight years to speak up when the president they elected was destroying the economy. I Feel that now is the time more then ever that Americans need to stick together unite and support each other. But instead Republicans are trying to do the complete opposite which will lead to the demise of our country. Even if what he is doing sounds like a stretch, hope and support goes a long way. What do you think about this topic and or my opinions. How Does this recent news about your world leader make you feel. Have you talked to some one who is not American about Obama and there view of America sense he Obama has been in office. PLEASE COMMENT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW

There are plenty of people who oppose every administration. To say that nobody spoke out against our last president just is not true. Also, if people were happy with how our last president did his job, wouldn't the republicans have done better in this past election?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter who is in charge, someone will always think they could do it better.
squirts i fully agree with youthey been trashin his name like crazy but they sued kanye west for saying bush dont like black people on television and its like its ok to just down our president
ReplyDeleteNoah- I not saying people did not speak out against him but republicans own most media they are not going to print those stories. Now they will print anything and everything that will slander of smear his name
ReplyDeleteIt's fuckin' racism. It'll never die. It might gradually get weaker but it will never be over. We just can't get over that some people are darker or lighter than others for some strange reason. It's like his skin color and hair texture makes him less qualified to lead the country for some reason. Personally I wouldn't know if he's fuckin' up in office though because I don't follow politics. But I know for a fact Bush was fuckin' up and you couldn't say his shoes were ugly without somebody jumping down your throat about it. Long story short...it's BULLSHIT.
ReplyDeleteok first off obama is sexy as hell. in he live rite down the street from me... in i seent him like a week ago when he came home. and 2nd i agree with this whole paragraph.. but i dont really no why people do stupid stuff.. it seems like the whole world of americans are turning against him...the media is bashing him.. putting false info about him on tv.. people on the strees are making a mockery out of him.. but to me it dosent make any sence because it seems like he was the only president thats trying to make a change.. he was elected in this office for a reason. and no i havent talk to no one that is not american who dosent like obama because if i did it will b world war 3. in this makes me feel like. the world is a desiptful place. because theres no way the economy should be talking down about him.. they should support him 100%
ReplyDeleteyes i agree with noah no matter who's in charge there always gone be aperson on the outside looking in that says they can do a better job...... i dont think people know just how hard it is to be the President to run the country.
ReplyDeletei believe that people just want a change to happen and there not willing to wait because its going to take some years so i think people need to give him a good 2 years before they reall start talking

ReplyDeleteJnissi- you are correct they are worried about what if they made the wrong decision. Sara Palin just retired because she could not handle the heat. what if she was VP not one paper talked about that and how bad america would look.

ReplyDeleteROYALLE-Yea people have something to say but there not backing what they have to say up. what they are doing is slander. if some one was to do that to bush the media would make sure that it can be proven before it is released which is part of journalism.

ReplyDeleteSQUIRTS=hell yea i seent that ish on the news.... u rite didnt nobody say nothing about that... they just sooo concern that we have an african american president an he might make a mistake... thaT people r going to live with for the rest of thier life
ReplyDeleteJimi- sorry but i disagree over your "infirority" comment, to say something like that is just as bad as a white person thinking they are more inferior than a balck person! But now thats done, back on subject.
ReplyDeleteI also thinkt that no one is going fully love the president. but that before we start juge him and his polociys, lets give them time to work. And when bush was in office, everyone talked bad about him! Its just going to happen! Very few people were really like " hey show respect for our president" at least the people i discussed Bush with.
Its all a matter of opinion. This is why i hate politics.
Jnissi-And half the people complaining are the ones who caused this problem. The people who are keeping there mouth shut and who are hustling, they are the ones who did not have money who the republicans stole form and are patiently waiting for change which they know will come with time and support.
ReplyDeleteI can solve this whole conversation in one word,
ReplyDeleteOpinions
Just remember that not everyone will agree with them. It's just like religion, people have different beliefs. Plus words are just words. Keep in mind that politics are a huge fight.
Noah and Alex bring up good points: opposition is part of the game. In fact, opposition is healthy because it lets us avoid status quo.
ReplyDeleteMost of these blog posts need to be backed up with research and specifics.
This is an issue of language--we don't have the right language to discuss race and we have to decide what the "real" conversation is: political? economic? And even though it will all overlap, we have to address them one at a time and THEN discuss the overlap.
